Here are a few photos of the great time a bunch of Scouts had down at the docks on the large SUP board earlier this month. This is just one of many groups that have held sessions at the docks with the help of volunteer coaches and helpers. Thanks go to them for putting smiles on faces and helping make some great memories. This Girl Can group took to the water today and had a great time, some paddling on the docks for the first time. Report by DCC Polo coach Michelle of competing at Manchester on Saturday 15th June... "What a day sun rain and hail ( while we were playing) and we carried on. At women's national div 1 second half of the league. We all played well lost 2 won 2 drew 1 on this half.. Teigan Harrison managed to get on the score board along with the rest of the team.. We played well as a team and smashed it in defence once again.. Well done ladies... But any how we have come away with the runners up medal.... get in there ... Thanks goes to Hilary Clarke Cumbria ladies team captain for organising and the patience with us all and coaching." A 12 mile round trip was had by a few members who went on a peer sea paddle on Wednesday 19th June. Conditions were ideal for a great paddle. DCC members took part in the marathon race at Trentham today. Duddon canoe club raced today in Macclesfield at a hassler canoe/kayak race.. there wasn't any kids races so teigan did the longer race of 6km in k1 with mostly adults and did a fab job... Sarah Mason and I bagged Gold worked our butt's off to keep up and then powered towards the end. John Sherwen our head coach presumed we come 2nd as thats where we were when we passed him, we didn't correct him and waited for his reaction at prize giving video in pictures . Well done Sarah.. James and Dan got 2nd and few others got medal too... Well done all Good day all round |
