Over the past few weeks DCC members have been working secretly at the docks on this years lantern that is going to lead the folk of Swarthmoor down into town to meet the rest of the folk from Ulverston before walking through centre up to Ford Park for a fantastic firework display. Every one had a great time on Friday evening setting off from Hill Foot Garden Centre. Thanks go to all who made a great lantern and to those that organised a brilliant 2021 Lantern procession. Saturday saw A good turnout of juniors for the final session of marathon race training. 500m and 1000m time trials took place to set individual targets for improvement and, for those attending races, indicating which race division to enter.
This was a mid week paddle on Coniston.
John went to the Shropshire paddlesport Hasler marathon on 12 th September. last in Div. 9 - but first C1 !!
It’s the taking part. The sessions at the dock have been very busy.
