Two groups took to the water this week. A general paddle of the docks and a flat water training session.
 DCC members attended the polo tournament up at Ullswater today held by Penrith polo club. Report to follow from DCC polo coaches Michelle and Trevor.
Members of DCC race team attended the flat water marathon race at Macclesfield. Three members made their debut at racing today and all got medals. Well done to all and thanks to James for his support on the bank and for photos of the days event. Duddon were third club overall and it was great to see we have another club in the north west Hasler league - Dyffyn Conway.
Well done to all Duddon paddlers, especially the first timers. Congratulations to Paul and Michelle - or is it commiserations !! They have gained promotion to Div 6. This means they will now race over an 8 mile course - up from 4 miles - and will have the joy of doing a portage during the race. Thanks go to James for his support on the bank and his pics. |
