Everyone turned up early to get on to the River Crake at Spark Bridge. This was the first time some had been on moving water but the weather was kind to everyone this day and so alot was accomplished by all under the watchful eye and coaching from Andy and Scott.

Illness, whiplash and timing errors drastically reduced numbers but ‘we few’ had a great paddle in unexpectedly good conditions. Starting at Fell Foot we paddled to YMCA south camp, had a brew then across the lake and back towards Fell Foot and down to Newby Bridge before returning to the start point. It did rain - on the way home ! John.
It was so windy this afternoon the bonfire/halloween paddle never took place. Instead everyone stayed indoors and had lots of cuddles of new DCC member Arya in between eating some great food that everyone had brought to share. After wards it was down to the dock side to keep warm by the bonfire and to watch fireworks set off by Scott. Thanks to all for a great evening and to Cari for sharing her beautiful grandaughter.
